Machine Description
The Akiles VersaMac is a super duty modular punch system whose rugged construction and powerful motor make it ideal for commercial environments where a high-speed, reliable punch system is a must. With an impressive punch rating between 35 and 55 sheets per lift (depending on paper weight and punch pattern) and an interchangeable die system with fully disengageable pins, you can punch 2:1 and 3:1 wire, comb, coil, 3 hole loose leaf and Velobind books as well as specialty oval, round and square dies. The dual anti-jam function offers both automatic and manual reverse to avoid downtime, while the LED diagnostic lights indicate critical machine information to the operator.
The VersaMac also has an ingenious adjustable depth margin that allows for moving the punching pattern further from or closer to the edge, depending on the thickness of the documen, with other convenient features such as a wire holder, element diameter scale, height-adjustable rubber feet and U-shaped alignment channel to better conform the spine of larger diameter books for easier coil insertion. The VersaMac is operated with an automatic foot pedal or by manually pressing a button, depending on operator preference, and includes an extra-large waste drawer with overfill window. The extra wide 14" single punching length makes punching Legal size sheets a breeze with an open ended punch channel that will accomodate sheets up to twice that long. The industrial-grade punch motor has a high heat resistant electromagnetic break which, paired with the VersaMac's sturdy all metal construction, will ensure many years of trouble free operation.

Our San Francisco Bay Area customers can extend their service coverage to two years by purchasing our Saddle Point Systems Extended Performance Guarantee for their VersaMac for $450. In other words, you're paying for a one year service agreement and getting two years of complete coverage. Like our One Year SPS Warranty, our performance guarantee covers the cost of all parts, labor, travel time, on-site repair and, if requested, an annual preventative maintenance check to ensure your VersaMac is running optimally. Simply give us a call and one of our technicians will come to your company, usually by the next business day, and service your machine at no additional charge. If we can't fix your VersaMac on site, we'll leave you a loaner to keep you up and running while we're repairing your machine.
After purchasing the Extended Annual Performance Guarantee, we'll e-mail you our Akiles VersaMac Service Agreement PDF for you to fill out. Then, either e-mail us a signed copy or mail us a signed hard copy to put the agreement in force. Annual service agreements must be purchased within 30 days of the original invoice date of your VersaMac modular punch and are not valid unless signed and on file with us.
