Machine Description
The ATLAS-AS Air-Feed Document Folder by Formax is a high-volume production folding machine that can process up to 27,500 sheets per hour. The ATLAS-AS has unlimited storage capacity for custom jobs that can be easily programmed on the 7" color touchscreen control panel, making the setup process quick and easy for any repeat job, no matter the sheet size. Like the ATLAS, the ATLAS-AS also comes pre-programmed with the most popular folds set for the most popular sheet sizes.
The fold plates are fully enclosed and rely on the color touchscreen for making adjustments accurate to 0.1mm. The fold rollers are comprised of a durable composite material designed to easily grip glossy sheets, while the powerful air suction feed system handles a wide variety of coated or non-coated stock, up to 26.5” in length, aligning your sheets prior to folding and utilizing a low-pressure air chamber to prevent feed issues caused by curled or statically charged paper.
Additional features that come standard with the ATLAS-AS high speed document folder include a modular perforator/scorer which can also be used as a roller bypass, allowing cover stock to be folded and output flat. The belt-driven outfeed stacker is located on the same side as the infeed, allowing operators to easily operate the ATLAS-AS from a single position. Double document and jam detection, batch counting, anti-static brushes, skew and micro adjustments complete the user-friendly package.

Our San Francisco Bay Area customers can extend their service coverage to two years by purchasing our Saddle Point Systems Extended Performance Guarantee for their Formax ATLAS-AS for $1,800. In other words, you're paying for a one year service agreement and getting two years of complete coverage. Like our One Year SPS Warranty, our performance guarantee covers the cost of all parts, labor, travel time, on-site repair and, if requested, an annual preventative maintenance check to ensure your automatic folding machine is running optimally. Simply give us a call and one of our technicians will come to your company, usually by the next business day, and service your machine at no additional charge.
After purchasing the Extended Annual Performance Guarantee, we'll e-mail you our Formax ATLAS-AS Service Agreement PDF for you to fill out. Then, either e-mail us a signed copy or mail us a signed hard copy to put the agreement in force. Annual service agreements must be purchased within 30 days of the original invoice date of your folder and are not valid unless signed and on file with us.
