The WireMac, manufactured by Akiles, is the manual counterpart to the WireMac-E electric wire binding machine, offering a heavy duty manual punch and binding solution for wire documents. The WireMac comes in two different models, depending on the thickness of your books. If you're binding books 9/16" in diameter and under, you'll want to purchase a WireMac-31 for 3:1 pitch documents while books 5/8" in diameter and over will want the WireMac-21 for 2:1 pitch documents. Each individual die pin on the WireMac disengages, allowing for total control of the punch process and enabling you to punch documents of virtually any length, while the heavy duty design allows you to manually punch up to 20 sheets per pass.
