The Crimp@Coil is Akiles' new electric double-sided coil crimping machine which cuts and crimps both sides of your coil bound document at the same time, preventing it from coming unbound. The unique design crimps books from 6" to 17" in length in all standard coil sizes, ranging from 6mm - 50mm. It features a fully adjustable crimper head so the operator doesn't have to waste time changing head sizes. The industrial motor offers the fastest cycle speed in its class at 54 cycles per minute, increasing the overall productivity of binding your documents.
The Crimp@Coil takes only seconds to adjust for coil size with its simple 5-step setup and with its foot pedal operation, which allows you to handle your document with two hands, it features special coil alignment guides which guide your coils in a well-centered position to the knives, ensuring a perfect and consistent result with each book. Included in the purchase of a new Akiles
Crimp@Coil double-sided electric crimping machine is a One Year Manufacturer
Warranty which covers the cost of all labor and parts required to fix the
machine if it needs service. The customer, however, is required to pay freight
expenses to ship their machine to the manufacturer while local customers
desiring on-site service are charged $85/hour for travel time.
Our San Francisco Bay Area
customers can purchase our annual Saddle Point Systems Performance Guarantee for
their Crimp@Coil for $275. Our performance guarantee is a service agreement
which not only covers all parts and labor but also includes prompt
on-site repair of your machine. Simply give us a call and one
of our technicians will come to your company, usually by the next business day,
and service your machine at no additional charge.
After purchasing
the Performance Guarantee, we'll e-mail you our Crimp@Coil Service Agreement PDF
for you to fill out. Then, either e-mail us a signed copy or mail us a signed hard
copy to put the agreement in force. Annual service agreements must be purchased
within 30 days of the original invoice date of your coil binder and are not
valid unless signed and on file with us.
