MBM 1800S High Speed Air-Fed Automatic Folder

The MBM 1800S is a high speed, air-fed automatic tabletop folder with all-metal construction manufactured by MBM. The top fed, adjustable air suction feeding system makes this folding machine an excellent options for businesses doing high volumes of digitally printed or coated stocks and with the ability to store up to 30 custom folds as well as non-standard paper sizes in its internal memory, easily accessed with one-touch memory keys, operation is incredibly automated. The 1800S will feed and fold sheets at an astounding rate of 18,000 sheets per hour (depending on paper type and power supply) and with its high capacity feed tray, you can fold a stack of up to 800 sheets at a time. This folder takes a wide range of paper weights, from 16lbs to 80lbs, and, unlike other automatic programmable folders that will only take 11" x 17" tabloid sheets, the 1800S will take sheet sizes ranging from 4.5" x 8.25" all the way up to 13" x 19".

The 1800S has a number of functionality improvements from its predecessor, the 1500S, including an ultrasonic double feed sensor that will detect double feeds on white, printed, transparent, black or mixed-colored sheets. The 1800S also features a removable folding roller for easy maintenance, an adjustable folding roller pressure gauge and a spring-loaded feed angle adjustmest dial.

Aside from the 30 custom folds, the 1800S comes with six standard folds (half, letter, gate, Z, fold-out and double parallel) with a test button that folds two sheets for inspection and skew and micro-adjustment dials that allow for extremely precise and crisp folds. The built-in sensors automatically sense and display the paper size of the sheet you're folding with a feed table that automatically ensures optimal feed pressure with different paper weights. As far as paper ejection goes, the 1800S has a conveyer belt and self-setting rollers that allow your folded sheets to exit smoothly and neatly. Additionally, the 1800S has optional add-ons that allow for micro-perforating and scoring.
