Automatic Paper Folders

The adjustment dials make for easy set-up for standard and custom folds and the digital control panel features batch and total functions, a test button that folds two sheets for inspection and an LED four digit counter. The extended exit tray allows for neat stacking of folded sheets with an automatic conveyer and self-setting exit rollers that ensure the folded paper is ejected smoothly. The 208J automatically maintains its ability to feed single sheets regardless of different paper weights being used and its auxiliary paper guide allows for cross folding in addition to its six standard folds. This machine will take paper sizes ranging from 3.5" x 5" up to 11" x 17" and weights between 12lbs and 80lbs.

With the 3 roller feed system, you can smoothly churn out up to 14,400 sheets per hour in sizes ranging from 3.5" x 5" to 11" x 17" (12 - 80lbs paper weight) in one of the 36 pre-programmed standard folds or one of 12 possible custom folds stored in the 408A's memory. The 408A has a feeder with a stack capacity of 500 sheets which automaticaly senses and displays paper size and, with the automatic feed-conveyor and self-setting exit rollers, you're ensured smooth ejection of folded pages. Optional perfing, scoring, kiss-cutting and slitting units available.

The primary difference between these two machines is their custom fold storage capacities, with the 408A able to store 12 custom jobs and the 508A able to store 24 unique programs; each comes pre-programmed with 36 standard folds. The 508A will automatically feed, fold and eject up to 14,400 sheets per hour in sizes ranging from 3.5" x 5" to 11" x 17" (12 - 80lbs paper weight) and has a high-capacity feeder that will feed up to 500 sheets at a time. Optional perfing, scoring, kiss-cutting and slitting units available.

Manufactured by MBM, the 352F folds sheets at a blazing speed of up to 22,000 sheets per hour with a special dual roller friction feed system that accepts a wide variety of paper stocks in batches of 300 sheets, with sizes ranging from 2" x 2-3/4" up to 14" x 21-1/4" and paper weights varying from 13 - 110lbs. In addition to variable speed control, the 352F sets up for standard and custom folds by simply loosening, positioning and tightening the adjustable fold trays while polyurethane foam rollers eliminate the need for variable fold roller pressure settings. The powered exit conveyer belt allows for sheet separation from the top of the fanned stack being ejected and the heavy duty side frames won't flex to ensure precise, consistent results.

The 1800S will fold up to 18,000 sheets per hour, feeding up to 800 sheets in a single batch. Sheet sizes range from 4.5" x 8.25" up to 13" x 19" with paper weights between 16-80lbs. Also new to the 1800S is the removable folding roller for easy maintenance, the adjustable folding roller pressure and a spring loaded feed angle adjustment dial. The 1800S is pre-programmed with 6 standard folds with the ability to store 30 custom folds in memory. The automatic feed table ensures optimum feed pressure while its conveyor belt and self-setting exit rollers ensure smooth ejection of folded paper. The single sheet feeding is automatically maintained for different weights of paper while the skew and micro-adjustment dials ensure the highest levels of precision. Optional micro-perforator and scorer units available.

Like its brother model, the 352F, the 352S has needle bearings for high speed production but unlike friction folders, which are designed for standard printed documents, the air feed system works in conjunction with a bottom-fed, top-loading design for continuous reloading and consistent sheet separation, making the 352S ideally suited for high volume digital production of glossy or coated stocks. The 352S has a feeder with a capacity of 450 sheets and the ability to accept paper weights ranging from 13 to 110lbs.

With variable speed control, it can process up to 27,000 sheets per hour. Six standard folds are pre-set in letter, legal and ledger paper sizes (for 18 preset folds total) with an air suction feed table that will process sheets up to 25.5" in length. Fully-enclosed fold plates feature dials to select fold plate position and LED displays accurate to 0.1mm, while the fold rollers are made of a durable composite material designed to easily grip high-gloss paper. Includes a modular perforator/scorer which can also be used as a roller bypass, allowing cover stock to be folded and output flat.

Aside from a slight speed boost, an extra inch in foldable paper length (26.5" versus 25.5") and its user-friendly color touchscreen control panel, the ATLAS and ATLAS-AS are near identical in terms of machine specifications. The primary difference is the storage memory of the ATLAS-AS, which can be programmed with an unlimited number of jobs (the ATLAS only stores six custom jobs), making it ideal for companies folding sheets in many different patterns and sizes. Like the ATLAS, the ATLAS-AS is programmed with six standard folds pre-set in letter, legal and ledger paper sizes and features an air suction feed table, fully-enclosed fold plates, a belt-driven outfeed stacker and a modular perforator/scorer.

The Atlas C300 will process up to 6,000 pages per hour, taking sheets up to 27.5" x 15.1" in size and paper weights as heavy as 400gsm. The contoured floating knives prevent marking digital prints, while the internal memory is pre-programmed with common creases/folds and allows for an unlimited number of custom programs. The Atlas C300 comes with a single perforating kit for standalone perfing with optional accessories available, including an extension tray, additional slitting and perforating wheels, ultra narrow creasing matrix and stacker tray. The color touchscreen is very user friendly and allows for quick and easy setup and programming, while the bottom-suction, air-feed system allows for reliable and continuous document loading.
