Designed to work in tandem with the Fastback® Model 20 or Model 15xs, you can easily produce paperback books using Perfectback Strips to bind the book block and the Scoring Machine to score the book cover. The SM1 scorer's ergonomic design provides a uniform score while requiring minimal operator exertion, with an interchangeable die system that allows for single or double scoring of book covers without damaging toner based digital printed stocks. The scoring process is easy; simply place your bound book between the Book Thickness Rings, adjust the width to match and begin scoring using the transparent die holder to see exactly where each score is being made. The Scoring Machine can score card stock up to 20 points thick and will accomodate paper sizes up to 13" x 20". When you purchase a new Powis Parker Scoring Machine from us, we include our Saddle Point Systems One Year Local Warranty at no additional charge as described above.

Our San Francisco Bay Area customers can extend their service coverage to two years by purchasing our Saddle Point Systems 2nd Year Extended Performance Guarantee for their Scoring Machine for just $130. In other words, you're paying for a one year service agreement and getting two years of complete coverage. Like our 1 Year SPS Warranty, our performance guarantee covers the cost of all parts, labor, travel time, and on-site repair. Simply give us a call and one of our technicians will come to your company, usually by the next business day, and service your machine at no additional charge. If we can't fix your Scoring Machine SM1 on site, we'll leave you a loaner to keep you up and running while we repair your machine.

After purchasing the 2nd Year Extended Performance Guarantee, we'll e-mail you our Powis Parker Scoring Machine SM1 Service Agreement PDF (within one business day) for you to fill out. Then, either fax us a signed copy or mail us a signed hard copy to put the agreement in force. Annual service agreements must be purchased within 30 days of the original invoice date of your Scorer and are not valid unless signed and on file with us.
